Sejarah Penubuhan

Rumah Seri Kenangan Bedong dahulunya dikenali sebagai Rumah Kebajikan Bedong dan Rumah Orang-orang Tua Bedong mula beroperasi pada 24 Ogos 1952.

Pada 15 Ogos 1995 pembinaan kompleks Rumah Kebajikan yang baru dimulakan untuk menggantikan bangunan lama yang telah uzur dan tidak selamat digunakan.

Rumah Kebajikan memulakan operasi di bangunan baru pada 1 November 1997 dan dirasmikan pada 19 April 1998 oleh Yang Berhormat Datin Paduka Hajah Zaleha Binti Ismail, Menteri Perpaduan Negara dan Pembangunan Masyarakat pada ketika itu.

Orang-orang tua yang berusia lebih daripada 60 tahun yang sebatang kara dan tiada tempat tinggal serta penjaga serta orang-orang tua yang mempunyai keluarga dan adik-beradik tetapi tidak diberi penjagaan/perhatian sewajarnya.

Orang-orang PapaMereka yang merayau tanpa tujuan, mengacau ganggu di tempat awam, menimbulkan kegusaran kepada orang ramai, meminta sedekah, tiada tempat tinggal dan tidak dapat memberitahu kedudukan diri sendiri.
